The Republic of Bulgaria is a state located in the south-eastern Europe, in the eastern half of the Balkan Peninsula. It borders the Black Sea to the east, with Greece and Turkey to the south, with Serbia and the Republic of Macedonia to the west, and Romania to the north from which is divided by the river Danube. It is part of NATO and the European Union in January 2007. The total length of the Bulgarian border is 2245 km, of which 1,181 terrestrial, 686 and 378 coastal river. The road network in Bulgaria is long 36 720 km, the railway network 4,300 km away.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bulgarian capital Sofia
